About Me
Martin Franklin is the founder of podcast production business, East Coast Studio. His secret super-power is his background as a sound artist and figure in the underground electronic music scene of the 1990’s.
Formerly Digital Producer for London Philharmonic Orchestra, and host of shows on London’s Resonance FM and Soundart Radio 102.5FM he combines high quality production know-how to deliver impactful, socially responsible podcasting.
As leading producer in UK digital culture throughout the 2000’s, he launched one of the UK’s first creative technology labs, the Digital Media Centre at South Hill Park Arts Centre. For a decade he curated conferences on sonic arts, community radio, digital performance; trained hundreds of people in production and authoring skills – and podcasted everything
Before founding East Coast Studio in 2017, Martin worked inside Communications teams as Digital Producer at The Place, London and at the London Philharmonic Orchestra, giving him a producer’s understanding of what organisations actually need from their content. That experience, combined with two decades of audio craft, is what he brings to every show.
Producer Support
We make sure all details of the production are right. You might be guided to record up close, presenter-style with a great microphone. Equally, we’re excited by mixing audio from a location interview in a cow shed or sounds of the natural environment.
The production process often involves some consultancy and technical audio training. We can provide skilled support for editing the flow and pace of your recorded content. We can also assist with kick-starting your audience development with pitches for app features and awards.
